Healthy Minds & Healthy Bodies

Healthy Minds & Healthy Bodies

Our Community needs us...

It's been widely known for some time that many Australians struggle to make lifestyle choices that optimise their chance at good quality life. It seems that even though our standard of living has increased over the years, this hasn't translated into more healthy, happy and fulfilled individuals. It's really important to be equipped with the information we need to make healthy and informed choices. So, where do we get this information?

Well, we can start right here! The principle has assigned us with the task of helping to inform the wider school population of some of the things they can do to improve their health by making more informed decisions. To investigate health and lifestyle choices we will clarify what these entail, decide whether we are making them, and identify how we might make better choices. This information is what we will use to inform our school about  the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

The first step to improving the health of our community is to look at ourselves to discover whether we're achieving good health and fitness through informed choices. Before taking an in-depth look at how we're measuring up with regards to health and fitness, we'll take a quick look at what healthy choices are and how we can make them. This will help us evaluate the choices we're currently making to decide how we can improve our health and wellbeing.
By building our skills and knowledge, we are better able to help others to improve their lifestyles. We will advertise what we have learnt, educating the wider school and local community on aspects of lifestyle choices that can be improved and how to improve them.

Work through each week starting with Week One. Complete part one of each task before moving to part two.

Let's get cracking on our journey so we can discover better health and wellbeing for everyone!
